Balkan Grill restaurant Boro Utrecht stands for a wide variety of meat dishes, fish dishes and vegetarian dishes. With the grill we distinguish ourselves by presenting tasty healthy low-fat meat dishes and fish dishes to which we add a surprising Eastern European touch. There is plenty of choice from starters and main dishes. With our imported local wines and aperitifs, your dinner at Boro will be a special experience.

Our authentic specialty grill restaurant has an extensive terrace and spacious wharf cellar at the historic Oudegracht 63. On the relaxed part of the Oudegracht, less than 100 meters from the tourist area where residents of Utrecht meet for dinner. A historic place to chill out tasty.

About us and packages

Since 1977… our history and passion for grilling on the Oudegracht. A traditional grill restaurant, perfect for a romantic dinner. We feature a unique complimentary starter: Boro Balkan sauce. This is a house-made sauce with a subtle garlic flavor, served with our own light, freshly baked baguette—a combination that keeps guests coming back from all over the world. A popular choice is the Balkan Platter: a balanced mix of meat dishes, flambéed right at your table. In addition to à la carte dining, we offer lunch or dinner buffets for groups of 15 or more, tailored to your preferences. It is also possible to book the entire restaurant for private use.

Boat tour + lunch

€ 35,00 p.p.

A one-hour canal cruise through Utrecht with Schuttevaer, followed by lunch: soup with a sandwich, an omelet, or a salad.

Grill buffet

€ 47,50 p.p.

Grill buffet (2 hours): clear chicken soup, salads, various types of meat, Djuvec rice, vegetables, and fruit. Drinks not included.

Boat tour + diner

After the boat tour, a three-course dinner with a choice of various starters, main courses, and desserts.

Spacious wharf cellar featuring a bar, restaurant, and two function rooms — suitable for corporate events, galas, or family dinners for up to 150 guests.

Boat tour + grill buffet

€ 65,00 p.p.

City cruise past churches and mansions, followed by an unlimited grill buffet: tomato soup, salads, meat, saffron rice, vegetables, and fruit. Drinks not included.

Terrace

Enjoy a drink or dinner on our spacious terrace by the historic wharf of the Oudegracht—within walking distance of the city center, with a view over the water.

Directions

From Utrecht Central Station, walk through Hoog Catharijne towards Vredenburgplein. Keep left towards De Bijenkorf and turn left onto the Oudegracht just before the Viebrug bridge. At the Rembrandt cinema, take the steps down to the historic wharf level; turn left after 40 meters to find Restaurant Boro.
